Job Title: Scrum Master / Project Manager
Location: Irving, TX (4 Days On-site/ Friday Remote)
Duration: Direct Hire 

We are seeking a collaborative and results-driven Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead the successful delivery of strategic initiatives while fostering high-performing agile teams. This hybrid role blends traditional project management with hands-on Scrum Master responsibilities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

The ideal candidate is an experienced project leader who excels in fast-paced environments, effectively manages competing priorities, and is passionate about building empowered, self-organizing teams that continuously improve through Agile and Scrum practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects through the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and issues while implementing proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project performance and communicate status, key metrics, milestones, and risks to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more Agile development teams.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
  • Coach teams on Agile principles, Scrum and Kanban frameworks, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Remove impediments, resolve team blockers, and foster an environment that enables teams to remain focused and productive.
  • Drive Agile maturity by leveraging metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, and cycle time to improve team performance and delivery predictability.
  • Partner with Product Owners to refine and prioritize backlogs, develop user stories, and ensure work aligns with business priorities.
  • Champion Agile best practices and support the adoption of Agile methodologies across teams and projects.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and facilitate clear, effective communication across all organizational levels.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and implement operational efficiencies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration among Product Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, UX/UI, and business stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects meet organizational objectives, compliance requirements, quality standards, and governance expectations.
  • Maintain regular, reliable attendance and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, including experience leading cross-functional technology initiatives.
  • 3+ years of experience serving as a Scrum Master for Agile software development teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban, with the ability to apply best practices in varying project environments.
  • Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate collaboration, influence without authority, and build consensus across diverse teams.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience using project and Agile management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Experience leading Agile transformations or organizational process improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with portfolio management, SAFe, Lean, or other scaled Agile frameworks.
  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
