Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Software Engineering to lead a team of software engineers in delivering innovative, high-performance web and native mobile applications. In this role, you will collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and enterprise-grade software solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with full-stack development expertise, strong people management skills, and experience leading agile software development teams in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience managing software development teams responsible for web, mobile, e-commerce, or field service management applications.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end software development.

  • 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams.

  • Expert knowledge of Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and server-side application development.

  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL.

  • Proficiency with Git and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Slack.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

  • Knowledge of responsive web design, modern web frameworks, interactive web applications, and native mobile development.

  • Experience optimizing application performance and site speed.

  • Strong understanding of secure software development best practices.

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture.

  • Plan and oversee project execution, development workflows, and product roadmaps to ensure timely and successful delivery.

  • Define and implement software architecture and technical strategies that support scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications.

  • Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and translate business needs into technical solutions.

  • Guide Agile ceremonies and best practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, story estimation, and breaking down epics into actionable work.

  • Provide technical leadership through architectural guidance, code reviews, design discussions, and technology recommendations.

  • Mentor and coach team members to support professional growth, technical development, and career progression.

  • Conduct performance reviews, support hiring and onboarding efforts, and contribute to workforce planning.

  • Remove roadblocks and resolve issues that impact engineering productivity and delivery.

  • Promote engineering excellence through quality standards, secure development practices, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency.
