About the Role

As a Specialist Engineer, Data & Analytics, you'll help transform data into meaningful insights that enable teams across the organization to make informed business decisions. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems through data, building impactful dashboards and reports, and serving as a trusted analytics partner for a functional area.

You'll work independently with a high degree of ownership, applying your technical expertise and business acumen to deliver reliable analytics solutions while following established standards, governance, and best practices. Success in this role comes from combining strong technical skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and translate business needs into actionable insights.

While this position does not include direct people management responsibilities, you'll have opportunities to mentor teammates, share knowledge, and lead small analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, scorecards, and reports that provide clear, actionable business insights.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.

  • Define, develop, and maintain meaningful KPIs, metrics, and performance reporting within your assigned business domain.

  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, consistency, and reliability by following established data governance standards.

  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve data and reporting issues using sound analytical and technical approaches.

  • Monitor dashboard adoption and report performance, recommending enhancements to improve usability and business value.

  • Leverage modern data platforms, including Microsoft Fabric and Delta Lake, to build and support analytics solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions that improve operational and business performance.

  • Share knowledge, provide informal mentorship to team members, and contribute to analytics best practices.

  • Lead small to medium-sized analytics projects and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 3–7 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or a related field.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.

  • Experience working with cloud-based analytics platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure analytics services, or Delta Lake.

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound, data-driven decisions.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to business users.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Strong collaboration, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, operations, or other B2B business environments.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations data and reporting.

  • Experience designing scalable semantic models and implementing enterprise reporting best practices.

  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and self-service analytics principles.
