Title: Software Developer II

Position Summary

The Software Developer II is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise software solutions that enhance imaging, workflow, and customized business applications. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software applications and integrated solutions.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, analyze, and refine functional and technical requirements.

  • Develop high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code following established development standards and best practices.

  • Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions to ensure solution quality and knowledge sharing.

  • Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Design, implement, and support effective testing strategies, including unit, integration, and system testing.

  • Assist Software Quality Assurance (SQA) teams with developing and executing test plans to validate software functionality and performance.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application issues while documenting changes and resolutions.

  • Support software deployments, enhancements, upgrades, and production releases.

  • Identify opportunities to improve application performance, user experience, development processes, system architecture, and technical infrastructure.

  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve development efficiency and product capabilities.

  • Respond to technical inquiries from internal users and support teams regarding software functionality and operations.

  • Manage multiple priorities and projects while meeting established deadlines and service level expectations.

  • Share technical knowledge by mentoring and cross-training team members.

  • Ensure software solutions comply with documentation standards, security requirements, and organizational best practices.

  • Participate in required meetings, training sessions, and occasional overtime as business needs require.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus five (5) years of professional software development experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong experience developing applications using C# and the .NET Framework/.NET platform.

  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Working knowledge of Windows application development using Microsoft Windows APIs, Windows Services, or Web Services.

  • Understanding of computer networking concepts and principles.

  • Strong knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), software engineering methodologies, and development best practices.

  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong customer service mindset with a sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

  • Must successfully pass and maintain all required background checks and security clearances.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio.

  • Experience developing with Python.

  • Experience developing with PHP.

  • Experience supporting enterprise workflow, imaging, or business process applications.
